The University of Saskatchewan was first established in 1907 in Saskatoon and is now the largest post-secondary institution in the province of Saskatchewan. The University of Saskatchewan is home to over 19,000 students with roughly 15,000 full time students and around 1,800 students describe themselves as being of First Nation Heritage. Internationally known for its amazing research in the physics department, the University has been Canada's leading university in physics since 1948. The University is nationally recognized due to help in the Health Science department.
